Bible Verses for the Homeschool Mama
Let’s face it mama, without God’s Word in our lives the work of our hands returns void. I’d much rather bring my 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish and let Jesus turn it into a solid education that is tailored for my children, than find out what I am capable of producing in my own strength. Wouldn’t you?Β
Not only do I need to read God’s Word everyday and to spend time alone with Him, but I need a visual reminder. I need something tangible to place on my walls or write on my hands so I canΒ see God’s truth and call upon it when I need it most. Homeschooling can be challenging. Teaching multiple children while chasing toddlers can drive even the calmest person over the edge. So I need to be consistently reminded that every mundane task I am performing is ultimately for His Glory.
I also need regular reminders that I can cast my burdens upon Him. That I don’t have to waste my time worrying about if my homeschooling is enough or if I am ruining my children. I can cry out to Him and He meets me right where I am – whether I am seeking wisdom for what to do with my strong-willed child, seeking patience as I scrub peanut butter off of carpets, walls, and baby hair, or seeking the words to reach the heart of my child who’s hurting. He is faithful.

If I am changing messy diapers, or repeating a math problem for the umpteenth time, or cleaning up spilt milk for the seventh time in a row I am serving the LORD of hosts. and I desperately need Jesus.
I recently asked a group of homeschooling mamas what their favorite Bible verses were for homeschooling moms specifically. Their answers blessed me so much that I decided to make them into a pretty printable that I can hang on my walls or set in other obvious places to remind myself that homeschooling is the Kingdom work that God has called me to.
