3 Tips to Get your Homeschool Back on Track
Are you having a rough time getting your homeschool back into the swing of things after the holidays? I can totally relate! Trust me I’m right there with you. There’s three back to back holidays at the end of the year going into a new year, there’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then New Year’s Day, so I get that after all that holiday fun with friends and family it can be very hard to get back on track with homeschool for you and the kiddos.
Well, I’m here to hopefully get you out of your slump and get you motivated!! I have three simple, yet very helpful tips to share with you and get you motivated.

New supplies nothing motivates homeschool moms or kids more than new school supplies. Go buy the kids some new pencils, paper, folders, binders, and all the little things that they have lost throughout the school year so far. You might as well go ahead and replace them now. If you’re anything like me you already have some of those items stashed away. So now you can pull them out and get the kids all excited. What about you? Do you need a new stapler, laminator, or something that will just help make your homeschool day run smooth? Now is the perfect time to go out and get those items you’ve been holding out on. Trust me you will thank me for it later! Some of our favorite pencils to use are the Bic Xtra-Fun, these pencils are amazing, they don’t break easily, they write so smooth, they just seem like they last forever, and they’re cute

Plan out your first week There’s just something about already having your first week or if you’re an overachiever your first month or so planned out that makes life grand! If you have it planned out and written down you’re going to be eager to just go ahead and get started. If you don’t have anything planned out it gives you more reasons to say OK we will just start next week and then next week turns into two weeks and so on and so on. Take some time and plan out your first week or so of school. You got this! I will be posting soon how I plan out our week.

Make changes in your curriculum this is the perfect time for you to go ahead and make changes in your curriculum. By now you should know exactly what’s working and what’s not working with your curriculum. If it hasn’t worked by now it’s probably not going to work so stop stressing your kid stop stressing yourself go ahead and tweak your curriculum or make changes. Whatever it is you need to do to help motivate yourself, your child and eliminate the frustration and tears do it now. Feel free to check out what we’re using for my ninth grader here I also just recently did a review for Schoolhouse Teacher in it’s an online curriculum for PreK all the way through 12th grade. They are running an awesome special right now through the end of the month. You can check my review out here.
