Christmas Around the World
Advent can be such a busy time of year, filled with activities and hustle and bustle. It can be a difficult time for homeschoolers to keep their head’s above water!
This is why we decided to lighten our schedule and our homeschooling expectations this year, to focus on the Advent season and our favorite Christ-centered activities.
In addition to our favorite Advent traditions this time of the year, we were given a copy of Laura from Awe Filled Homemaker’s new Christmas Around the World study.
You guys, this has been SO MUCH FUN to do as a family. Every few days you learn about Christmas celebrations and traditions for a different country from around the globe. Each country has a page of information to help you learn about their traditions and then related worksheets and activity sheets to reinforce the fun facts you have gone through together.
My Children don’t realize we are doing school 😉
My children think we are playing instead of doing schoolwork, even though there are new words, comprehension questions, and handwriting being covered every day! They beg to pull out this study!
If you have ever wondered things like, what is advent? When did it start? How do they decorate in other countries? What do they eat? What do the children do?
Did you know that some put out their shoes for St. Nick to fill? In one country, children believe the Christmas witch with come leave them a present she intended for the Christ child! In another country, children don’t celebrate Christmas at all but celebrate Hanuka instead (like Jesus did as a child!).
You will find this and so much more inside this printable study that is fun for the whole family!
Simply go here to purchase the study, download, print and get started right away!
