Keep little hands busy working those fine motor skills while letting your little ones unwrap all the kisses you will need for this project. Your older children will be able to assemble these themselves! Let ’em snack on a few and make festive family memories in the process!
These salty and sweet treats are sure to be a hit during any family fun night, fall party, or even Thanksgiving! They are also the perfect compliment to a fall nature walk, acorn study, or rainy fall day too.
Ingredients:
Hershey Kisses
Gluten Free Mini Peanut butter crackers
Black Decorator’s Icing
Chocolate Chips
Instructions:
- Unwrap the Hershey Kisses. (Turn the toddler loose with this one! 😉 )
- Place a small dab of black decorator’s icing on the flat bottom surface of the Hershey Kiss.
- Firmly place a mini peanut butter cookie on top of the icing.
- Holding the cookie topped kiss from its pointy end, place another small dab of icing on the middle of the top of the cookie. Be sure not to hold the kisses too long. They will melt!
- Firmly press a chocolate chip onto the dab of icing on top of the cookie.
- Place the prepared candy acorns on a tray, and place in the freezer for a few minutes so the icing can harden and set.
Viola! Adorable edible acorns and sweet family memories! <3
