Nothing says: “I am grateful for you!” like delectable jar gifts!
We have been doing a Gratefulness challenge in our homeschool this month, and this was a perfect add-on activity to flush out our gratitude.
Supplies You’ll Need
Clear jar with lid
¾ c. Ground chia seeds
¼ c. Erythritol, Stevia, or Xylitol
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tbsp. Pumpkin pie spice
¼ tsp. Nutmeg
¼ c. Chopped walnuts
Small clear bag
Twist tie
Scissors
Printable gift tag
Ribbon or string
Funnel (optional)
Hole punch
Materials for Mixing Listed on the Gift Tag:
Mix the following into the jar for a delicious treat!
1 ¼ c. Unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
½ c. Canned pumpkin
Directions
1. Use a food processor or coffee grinder to finely grind up chia seeds.
2. Place ¾ cup of ground chia seeds into a bottom of the jar in a layer.
3. Add ⅓ c of Xylitol (or sweetener of your choice) on top of the chia seeds.
4. Layer in the cinnamon, pumpkin spice and nutmeg.
5. Pour ¼ c. of chopped walnuts into a small clear bag, and secure it closed with a twist
tie. Set this bag on top of the ingredients in the jar (*This is optional. Walnuts make a topping for the pudding once it is prepared. You can leave them out if you’d rather!)
6. Secure the jar lid firmly
7. Print and cut out the gift tag (see opt-in below! or write your own 🙂 )
8. Punch a hole in the upper corner of the gift tag.
9. Thread a ribbon or thread a festive ribbon through the gift tag, and fasten it to the top of the jar!
10. Give these to your friends you are thankful for!!
